ONEderland: I've Arrived

I finally faced the scale today... and have great news to report!

I WEIGH LESS THAN 200 lbs!
I WEIGH LESS THAN 200 LBS!!

Hmmm... I kind of expected bells to ring and parades to be taking place in town, but instead I celebrated quietly.  I bantered with encouraging friends via BBM who were eagerly awaiting the results, excitedly shared a phone call with my fellow JC'er/sis-in-law Beth, and I wore a perma-smile ALL DAY LONG.  That's how I celebrated, and I also added two more rewards. :)

SOMETHING TO REMEMBER IT
I know that some of you MUST be fans of the Biggest Loser.  I can't believe that I'm the only one out there who gets wildly motivated by watching the cast members lose amazing amounts of weight.  Well, this season, I just LOVED the ladies who competed.  Sisters and Purple Team Members Hannah Curlee and Olivia Ward were my faves, particularly Hannah.

Even though she wasn't the Biggest Loser, I just related a lot to her story as a single girl from Nashville who had a significant amount of weight to lose.  Well, she wore a necklace to EVERY weigh in that I just loved.  Anyone else see it?

Through the magic of the internet, I found the necklace at Zoe Chicco Jewelry's website. I wanted it to be my ONEderland necklace, and so it is.  A reminder to me that I never want to see that TWO again, and a beautiful piece to be proud to wear as a result of my accomplishment.  One larger circle to represent where I was, and the smaller one to represent where I am and where I will be in the future - SMALLER.

I debuted my necklace today, and I love it. :)

SOMETHING TO SAVOR
Shame on me for rewarding myself with food.... but I decided to have a small cup of Golden Spoon frozen yogurt (4 oz) to celebrate as well.  A reasonable snack that could be incorporated into my diet, I've only ONCE gone into the yogurt shop since it popped up about 8 months ago next to my usual grocery store.  HUGE WILLPOWER, right?

Well, I had a 4 oz. Cake Batter Fat Free Yogurt, and it was yummy and refreshing.  I don't crave it or need it tomorrow, but I just kind of wanted it today.  So, I did it!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH THIS PROCESS!  I can't even tell you how encouraging your comments have been.

Note:  This process has been much easier than I thought it would be 57 lbs ago.  If you don't think you can do it and/or doubt you'll make it far enough, be determined and WANT it.  That's all I've done, the secret to my success.  I promise I don't even wear a cape. :)

Alright, let's go after that last 33.8 lbs now!

xoxo - Kelly

Unofficial Excitement

I spent another week on the road.  And, a pretty solid week on JC!  My only hesitation in saying that it was phenomenal is associated with the FOUR Cafe Rio Fire Grilled Chicken Salads I ate for lunch.  They were so delicious and mostly pico de gallo, but still I'm not sure on their stats and how that will effect me this week.

Saturday morning when I weighed in, I did have quite the surprise...

Whoa... 199.6 is what the scale read (and it's HARD to take a pic of the numbers, but I think you get the gist.)  So, the rest of my weekend has been spent trying to protect this loss.  I only "count" my weigh-ins at the center since my weight fluctuates every day a bit.  I've been SOOO dedicated JC for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... I'm 100% on plan and even went for a nice walk today.

While Saturday was a day where my weight was led with a 1, I saw that ugly 2 again this morning.  Grrrrrrr!

Trying to stay optimistic, I'm hoping tomorrow morning's the big day!!!!!  Stay tuned!

Week 28 Weigh-In: 50 LBS GONE FOREVER!

I went to weigh in yesterday, and am VERY pleased to announce that I'm down another -2.2 lbs!  What this means is that I have officially surpassed the -50 lb mark!

SUCH a huge honor... I'd like to thank the stairs at the HS track (and the subsequent pain I've been in since Sunday), the TWO packages of Rotini and Meatballs I consumed last week instead of eating out for dinner, the trip to the gym that kept me up until 2am, and, last but certainly not least, the MANY tiny bottles of water that I consumed at the Marriott this week.

Cheers to -50 lbs!  Next stop is -56 lbs, which puts me officially in ONEderland!  -4.4 lbs away!

Unbelievable Weigh-In: 9 Pounds Until ONEderland

I had an INCREDIBLY surprising weigh-in this morning.  Despite my panic last night and my going on about all the crap I ate last week, I actually lost TWO pounds this week!!!!!!

I'm incredibly excited about the progress and can't imagine how great this week would have been if I had been a little bit disciplined!

A FEW WEEKS AWAY FROM ONEDERLAND
I'm only a few pounds away from 50 lbs lost, but I'm mostly excited about losing the next 9.  It's been SOOOOO long since I've been under 200 lbs and OFFICIALLY entering ONEderland.  I picked up the "ONE-derland" phrasing from The Biggest Loser and from the Jenny Craig message boards.  I find it fitting and appropriate.... and PS:  I'm about to become the Mayor of ONEderland - - Never leaving again EVER!!

I think the last time I was below 200 was about 7 or 8 years ago.  I mean, I was in my TWENTIES!  I'm attending a wedding on May 7th, and would loooooooove to be below 200 by then!

SOMETHING ELSE I'VE DONE TODAY
I'm beginning to share this blog with people I know.  Yes, I know my weight is bolded and to the right, but I feel like this journey is such a personal one and one that involves a huge supporting cast.  It's time to start sharing and to start celebrating!!

When I hit goal, it may go public, but for now, just some of the besties have been invited to read.  You know who you are... xoxo.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST
I had a pants emergency today.  I couldn't handle the baggy crotch associated with the 16s I was wearing... soooooo, I popped into a store and bought another pair to wear, this time in the correct size!

GUESS WHO'S DOWN TO A 14W!!!!!  Yep, this girl!  I'm in my final size at Lane Bryant.  It's official... I'm normal!!   LOVE THAT!

9 lbs to ONEderland... Let's do this!!

Ohhhhh... It's Rewards Season, and Time to Post my List!

So, I've decided I should be rewarded handsomely for my weight loss, and it's so fun to come up with a list!!!  So, here's my list of fabulous rewards.  Subject to change, of course:

1st Goal - 30 lbs - Coach Tote for Work!
(Already rewarded.... see previous post)

2nd Goal - 40 lbs - Massage / Facial Combination at Aveda Salon and Spa
I'm a huge fan of this place and they do a half massage/half facial... what a lovely treat!  Have been meaning to try it, and now I get to at -40!

3rd Goal - 57 lbs - Spa Weekend in Arizona
This one I cannot wait for.... A weekend with a dear friend at the Intercontinental Montelucia Resort and Spa.  I love this place... and cannot wait to go back.  Note:  The 57 lb mark will put me under 200 for the first time in a very long time.  Entering "ONEderland" sounds "ONEderful"

4th Goal - 75 lbs - Teeth Whitening
I'd love to have whiter teeth, even though mine are far from discolored.  I'm going to have my dentist hook me up with a fabulous in-office treatment to brighten my smile!

5th Goal - 91 lbs - Alex Sepkus Ring
My final reward will be a gorgeous ring that I've had my eye on for a long time.  I'm not sure if I'm going to have it made for me, or if I'm going to just buy it outright, but I want this ring... it's just gorgeous.  I can wear it every day and it can remind me of how far I've come.
