Yee Haw, Y'all!

Greetings, y'all, from the Great State of Texas!

I am whisked away this week to Austin, TX for a work meeting.  Working in sales, our national team only gets together about 2 times every year.  When we do, it's always a lot of fun catching up!  This trip is NO exception!

Company meetings and company fun means one thing though...

Buffet-Style Eating! 

Breakfast buffets, lunch buffets, buffets o' soda... we've got them all. 

How do I survive these?  I'm using the plate rules my JCC talked to me about.  I'm filling about 1/2 of my plate with salad, about a quarter of the plate with protein, and the remaining quarter is more veggies (skipping the ones that are dripping in butter/oil). 

I may have had a TINY dollop of scallion whipped potatoes today though.  Holy delicious mashed potatoes!!!  I heart mashed taters, for real!  I'll also confess that I was THIS CLOSE to heading to the dessert buffet when I decided to walk with a group of co-workers to check out the spa.  Phew!
